The site of the leap tower is located in the north of the leap tower in Fuzhai Village, Fuzhai Township, Zhengyang County, Zhumadian City, Henan Province, and is a large aristocratic tomb group in the late Shang Dynasty, with an area of about 1.5 million square meters. The site was first discovered in 1981 Shang Dynasty bronzes, and after some rescue excavations, a total of 265 tombs were found (272 according to other accounts), and a total of 275 bronzes, pottery, bone tools, stone tools and other cultural relics were unearthed. The site of the leap tower provides important academic materials for the study of the late Shang culture in the upper reaches of the Huaihe River Basin and the politics, economy and culture of the Huaiyi Group, and was announced by the State Council as the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2019.
