The site of the Leigang Battle is located in Leigang Village, Youfangdian Township, Zhengyang County, Zhumadian City, Henan Province, and is an important battle site when Liu Deng's army marched south to cross the Ru River in 1947. In this battle, Liu Deng's army was surrounded by the enemy's heavy troops, and with the revolutionary spirit of "the brave wins when they meet on a narrow road", they won a major victory, opened the prelude to the People's Liberation War to enter the strategic offensive stage, and became a great turning point in the history of the Chinese revolution. In order to commemorate the battle, the local Leigang Battle Memorial Pavilion, Monument and Bloody Battle Leigang Memorial Hall were built, which became an important red education base for inheriting the red gene and carrying forward the revolutionary spirit.
